Gelli Printing

You will learn how to use different types of papers, paints, inks and mediums to create individual and textured papers using recycled materials and every day household items as part of your art development.

Learn to make papers for collage, card making and other mixed media art with gelli printing. Starting with basic gelli printing techniques and working through to more advanced technical processes including layering, mark making, photo transfer and botanical painting.

You will have the ability to experiment with colour, texture and mixed media. You will also be exposed to techniques that can be incorporated in a variety of art practices.

You Will Need To Bring Along & Notes

Gelli plates and brayers will be provided. Students should bring paints, inks and papers and will be instructed on specific materials prior to each class.

Libby Hildebrandt – Bio

Libby is a local mixed media artist, who has participated in local art events such as the Bellarine Art Trail. With a passion to create she works in acrylic paints, mixed media, gelli printing and collage. Libby is involved with art groups locally on the Bellarine as well as online and has recently appeared as a guest artist on YouTube with FroyleArt.
